Other Amenities
Also keep in mind that you have the many wonders of Samana close at hand, including Salto di Limon, a miniature version of Victoria Falls, as well as a treasured national park called Los Haitises with its lush mangrove forests, many small islands and caves. From January to March, you can take an excursion boat to Bahia de Samana and watch thousands of humpback whales frolicking, flippering and standing on their tails in attempts to  attract members of the opposite sex.
